The sailing and windsurfing competition of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games will be held at the Asian Sailing Center in Xiangshan, Ningbo in September this year. 　　For beginners, where should they start to participate in sailing? Coach Zhang Mengmeng from Beilun District Youth Sailing Training Base and the Sailing Academy of the Wanbofish Sailing Center gave her suggestions.

　　Before retiring, Zhang Mengmeng was an athlete of the Zhejiang Sailing Team. She once won the champion of the National Youth Sailing Championships and the runner-up of the National Sailing Championships.　　She suggested that beginners can start with an OP sailboat. The operation console of this small sailboat is generally used for simulation training. The operation is relatively simple, and it is quick to get started.

　　The coach will first introduce the knowledge points of sailing from the theory, such as water safety, sailing knots, astronomical and meteorological knowledge that must be mastered to participate in sailing sports, and then take the trainees to an actual sailboat, let them know the various parts of the sailboat, and simulate the operation of the training at sea, so that the trainer can turn as freely as a car on the sea.
